I wanted to be there but I was stuck with a writing workshop hence could not attend this historic occasion. Now that you have the pictures, please ensure you save them really well so that we can save these posterity and walk down the memory lane to think of a time when we had trains which ran on DC traction and had grey and red shades which served Mumbaikars without complaints for 84 years. I am sure it must have been an emotional moment for the employees of Western Railway and the motormen.

Model of older rake is actually a model of 1928 stock EMU. Good to see it.
